Crawley Creatives Showcase Exhibition 7 – 9 Feb 2024

This is a past event

Broadfield Community Centre

Opening hours 1pm – 6pm each day

FREE

What do Marvel movies, Florence and the Machine, Frieze, the Royal Ballet, Live at the Apollo, and the Royal West Academy of Art all have in common? The answer is, they all include practising creatives who were either born, raised, or are based in Crawley, West Sussex, or nearby Surrey.

In this free exhibition, we showcase just some of the talented people who were born, studied, live, or work in the area.

Drop in during the opening hours to experience images of local DJs, musicians, theatre makers, and visual artists to name a few, and listen to a specially commissioned soundscape by local musician Enkay Rockson and poet and rapper Woodzy.

Broadfield Community Centre will be open outisde of the exhibition hours but from 1pm – 6pm each day a member of the Creative Crawley team will be at the exhibition and available to give you more information and talk about how you can get involved if you’d like to.

We celebrate the  wealth of professional creative talent in the local area in this touring exhibition that was previously in the Town Centre (April 2023) and West Green (Nov 2023).

If you would like to bring a school group or other group of young people along to the exhibition, let us know and we can also arrange a local professional creative to talk to them and share tips on how they got into the creative industries. email [email protected] for more info.

While you are here, check out Crawley Creatives for a directory of creative professionals in Crawley, West Sussex & Surrey that was launched at this exhibition. Listen here to a specially composed soundcape by Enkay Rockson and Woodzy while you have a look at the directory.
