Join us for Crawley Fusion Mela, a weekend of live entertainment and community celebration.

Crawley Fusion Mela features two days of incredible creative events.

On Saturday, enjoy a vibrant programme of free world class dance performances, art, live music, and drop in creative activities presented by Creative Crawley at Unit 79/80 County Mall – see the schedule below.

On Sunday, there will be performances from international Bhangra superstar Jassi Sidhu alongside the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band, the family friendly Circus Raj and local favourites Niruththiyalayam School of Dance, Rhythmix Dance Squad and much more.  Programmed by Cohesion Plus and Crawley Borough Council and presented in Memorial Gardens.

Saturday Programme, Unit 79/80 County Mall

The day is organised into two sessions starting at 12noon and repeated at 2.30pm but you can drop in at any time. Performances are all first come, first served.

Morning Programme (12-2pm)

12noon – Live music from African Night Fever with internationally celebrated percussionist Saidi Kanda and the Mvula Mandondo band (Tanzania)

12.30pmShree by Seeta Patel Dance, a powerful solo inspired by the cycles of the Earth, performed by Indu Panday in the Indian classical dance form Bharatanatyam.

1.30pmOtempodiz by Ertza Dance (Mozambique and Spain) a dynamic duet exploring time and human connection (Taking place in the Atrium, ground floor County Mall)

Afternoon Programme (2.30-5pm)

2.30pm – African Night Fever (Tanzania)

3pm Shree by Seeta Patel Company

4pm  – Otempodiz by Ertza Dance (Mozambique and Spain)

4.30pm – African Night Fever (Tanzania)

PLUS, showing throughout the day:- 

The world premiere of a brand-new short film, Crawley: Against All Odds, created with local learning disabled adults from Dimensions Outreach 3 Way and filmmaker Amara Bjorkhaug.

A fascinating original exhibition Between Two Worlds by local artist Sarah Maple, inspired by the traditional art of henna. 

And you can join Talycia Nayee for a contemporary henna workshop that reimagines the traditional art form in a fun, creative, and accessible way for everyone. Suitable for all ages.
