From August 2024-April 2025, Playmakers (local volunteers) met on a monthly basis to explore what a Fashion Show project could be for and with the people of Crawley.
It was important to them that garment making workshops took place with seldom heard communities in the town and that there was a callout to local people to submit creations they’ve already made.
The exhibition showcased the textile talent of Crawley including contributions from creative professionals and hobbyists and garments created by local residents through workshops with designers Cee Boulaqui and Mah-e-Nau Rafiq.
This exhibition was on display in Unit 79/80 County Mall from 15 May to 21 June 2025.
